Exch 2007 Information Store service has to be restarted each day

We have an exch 2007 server that just started for some reason needing to have the information store service restarted each day so that users can get their email either through outlook or owa..
But once we restart the Info store serv, all starts to work again until the next day...
Nothing has been changed on the server but this just started. Any ideas on what maybe causing this issue?

Can you check the event logs and also increase the diagnostic logging on the Exchange server.

The event log will give you information on what is causing the failure. Most likely there is something happening during the nightly maintenance window that is causing the failures. If you have Exchange installed on a 2008 server, you can configure recovery options on the Information Store service to automatically restart the service if it fails in the mean time. I can't remember if that feature was available in Server 2003.

I just wanted to say that check the event logs when the issue occurs. May be we get some event which might help us.
Does Powershell have you tied up in knots?

I will check the event logs but I just found out that the exch is still on sp1 and there have not been many roll updates done to it.
So I was thinking applying SP3 and Roll Update 11 and see if that helps..
What do you think?
