Hello,

I'm transitioning users from a Windows 2003 Terminal Server to a Windows 2008R2 Remote Desktop Services server.

I have a user who used to use Windows Fax and Scan to acquire scans from a local scanner.  This built in utility does not seem to be available in Windows 2008R2.  Is there anything similar built in or that I can add?

Thanks.

Thanks nick - I did run through this process.  I don't see any new app indicating scanning.  What am I looking for once this has been installed?

I don't have a server 2008 to test on right now, but my understanding is that it should install the programs, and they should be accessible from the start menu the same way they would be for a Windows 7 desktop.

You might want to check your logs and make sure there wasn't a problem with the installation if you don't see anything.

Thanks - no errors that indicate a failed install.  Server has been rebooted following install.

Found that Desktop Experience is not sufficient.  You also have to install the Faxing feature.
