Windows server 2012 R2 remote desktop service

Hi expert,

I have enabled remote desktop service with windows 2012 server, all three roles RD web access and RD connection Broker and RD session host are in same server.

I publish paint/word pad/notepad and mstsc - remote access on the session server, log in with domain user, all the app work, but mstsc will open the program and pop up credential.  The problem is no matter how do I try the log in credential, system always complain user name or password is not correct.

I can log in with local user account to the target computer though, please help to advise possible reason and ways to resolve this issue.

If I understand correctly, a domain user logs on the main server, and uses the mstsc icon to connect to his own PC?

If that's so, a normal PC in the domain doesn't allow users to log in. You have to add the domain user to it's remote desktop users group. So it means you have to do this to all PC's in the network (every PC, add which user needs to access it).

Hi Kimputer,

Thanks for prompt response and answers.

Domain users group is already enabled on the desktop computers, previous test is not working, however it is functioning now. I will keep monitoring for one day, if no further issue then I will accept the answer.
