Are you trying to install Visual Studio LightSwitch as part of the same install?

Also, I would follow these instructions.  Looks like you will need to download SQL first.

Are you running the install as admin (run as administrator) versus running it with an account that is administrative and you have UAC on. Right click the exe and choose run as administrator

The last few lines in the log suggest the failure is due to a failure to elevate. Rights.

I anderstand that you are running with an administrative user, when starting the install, did you use the right-click and run as administrator option?
One option to try is to disable UAC for the running of the install to remove it from the stage.

Not clear whether the install maintains elevated rights throughout such that at one point an attempt to elevate fails according to the log.
The issue might not be the UAC or the installer, it might be something else I.e. An anti-virus types of application.

You may have to go through the services.msc interface to stop it.  There should be a way to exempt or disable real-time protection for a period of time needed to complete the install.

I think within the interface, it should have an option to suspend, though I do not have this product nor used to know for certain.

I have a version of neat that is 6 months old.

I think the answer is to disable anti virus software.

This would be difficult so I will settle on a 6 month old version.

Thanks.
