Adobe digital transfer

Adobe digital is used on a computer to move e-books from a library loaning centre to a Kobo Aura.  This worked fine on an old computer, but when transferred to the new one, the Adobe digital does not have write permission to the Kobo.

Research suggested that un attaching and re attaching would solve the problem.  The re attaching asks for a log-in , and then indicates that email address is used on another computer.  Is there a way to advise that the other computer no longer exists, or is there another way to activate Adobe

The error before un attaching was CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED

You were supposed to deauthorize the old computer so you could authorize the new one; but, it says you can have up to 6 PC's with the same Adobe ID.  I think you must be trying to create a new account instead of just using the old ID and password.

In Adobe Digital Editions, the authorize computer is under the help menu which should solve your problem.

When I try log in, I get the message that the user has already been used.  As noted above, I had been advised to un attach and re attach.  Will I need to create a new user ID?  I have not been successful getting answers from Adobe.
