Dear Experts,

How do I check what the notification email address is when a message arrives in the Quarantined messages folder.

I do not want to setup end-user spam notifications, but I want the notifications to go to a distribution group.

Thanks in advanced.

I don't think you can.

You can configure OUTBOUND spam notifications in the corresponding section of the EAC. For inbound there are no such options, but if you feel adventurous enough, you can try the 'redirect message to' option :)

can you tell me what the default behavior is for a message that gets sent to  quarantine?
does any email get sent or is it up to the administrator to check the folder periodically.

I'm not sure, I've never really used it. It's not that useful in my opinion, the default 'move to junk' action has almost the same effect and is way easier for the end users. I can only imagine what happens if you have 1000+ users and have to go over the quarantined messages daily...

I did a quick test on my tenant, switched to using the quarantine and sent two spam messages. They arrived in the quarantine and I am able to view/release them, however I have still not received any notification. And I'm unable to find any article that mentions that you (as the admin) will actually receive notifications or how to configure the address for them.

Let's see if some other expert has played with this, or if it just takes time to send those notifications (once per day maybe)...

Thanks, same here, no document seems to mention the admin, just that there is a end user notification element.

let me know if an email turns up

Still nothing, seems that indeed there are no notifications, apart from the end-user ones.
