SBS2011 Dual Boot on Windows 7

Hi,

Is it possible to dual boot SBS2011 from a Windows 7

The only option I am getting while trying to install SBS2011 on a partition is to upgrade.

Thanks

I believe in order to dual boot, you would have to install some type of boot mgr.

The easier alternative if it would suit your needs would be to setup an SBS2011 virtual machine under the Windows 7 OS.

Just curious as to why you are trying to dual boot Windows 7 and SBS2011. I have never heard of someone attempting this. :)

To answer your question, I am trying to install it as a dual boot rather than VM simply because hyper v is not available if the OS is already set as a VM

Correct me if I am wrong

Cheers
So you are wanting to install HyperV on SBS2011?

Also, there is a way around that depending on if your process supports it. It is an virtualization feature.

I am just testing things...

VM is awesome but I can never really test hyper v from a vm

What is the way around it
