Dear Experts,
We want to replace 3 D-Link non manageable switch with the HP manageable switch. Currently these unmanageable switch is connected with Cisco Catalyst 2960 Switch with three uplink to Cisco switch. I want to connect three HP switch to new 2 HP Core switch working as Active-Active with 10 GBPS uplink between them. As per the HP Chat, their recommendation is to have 3 HP Switch model 2920-48 G J9728A. The core switch suggest here by local supplier is HP 5820-24XG-SFP+Switch. I don't have any idea about how many transceiver I need to connect between them. Please advice.

If I counted correctly you're are replacing  3 D-Link and 1 Cisco switch with 5 HP switches:
2, 5820-24XG-SFG+
3, 2920-48
To connect the 3 2920-48 to each of the 5820-24XG will require 6 transceivers. If you're going to connect the 2 Core 5820-24XG to each other will require 2 more transceivers.

8 total for Core to Core Connectivity.
Check the rough diagram... is this what you're looking for?

The type of transceiver will depend on the distances between switches.

Hi Lee Ingalls,
Don't I need the transceiver at the other end of 5820 switch?
Thanks.
