Audio stops playing during long audio/video files when connected via Remote Desktop Services (terminal services)

Hello experts,
I've run into an issue with my remote desktop services server. When I play audio/video files (specifically webex recordings) through an RDP session the audio will stop playing at a seemingly random time. The video will keep going even though the audio has stopped. If I move the webex scroll bar to a new location the audio will start again, but it will eventually stop after a few minutes. It usually happens within the first 5 minutes of the webex video starting.
This only happens over RDP connections, when connected directly to the terminal the entire webex video will play without issue. The same behavior occurs when connected through a windows 7/8 rdp connection and when using a Wyse thin client.
The remote desktop services are running on Server 2008r2 with IE8 as the browser. All of the end users are connected via 1GB wired connection and the server is a physical server, Dell PowerEdge T410.
