(1) To download Office 2012 online you have to create a MS Account.

EXACTLY how do you do that in detail as I have had a problem with that in the past

Any existing Windows Live / Hotmail / Outlook.com / Microsoft Account (which you are given the option to create when using Windows 8) will work. Otherwise, you can sign up here: https://signup.live.com
