I use handbrake to rip DVD's, but that is on the Mac (not sure if that is available for PC). DVD rips tend to get big, so e-mailing such a file might be out of the question with most e-mail providers.

what is the default player in ipad? i'm not familiar with ipad, I converted using handbrake, can't play the video. when I downloaded the attached video mp4 file converted at the email, it shows quick time player icon on one ipad and no quicktime icon on another ipad.

iTunes should be the default player for video content on the iPad (it is on mine).
