drupal login redirection

Hi experts,

I am trying to redirect users to their profile pages using login destination, but it seems it does not work when the login is displayed by using modal forms module.

So far, after users logs in, he is redirected to the homepage not to his profile page. Could you please explain me how to do it? Thanks,

Winter

Try upgrading to the dev version of the module. It looks as though a patch was added to allow the login form to respect the destination parameter.

nop, it did not work, it does work when I used without modal form, I mean, it works when I go directly to www.examplesote.com/user, otherwise it won't.

Is there an alternative?

Thanks,

Looking at the source for the modal forms module, it looks as though it adds an action to the Rules module to allow you to redirect after login. The action is titled "Page redirect (modal forms aware)". You should be able to create a Rule that executes this action on user login.

Hello Arrow_1,

Thank you very much for your answer. Well, I tried using Rules module and unfortunately it did not work on modal forms. Attached goes the settings I set on the rules page.
On the other hand, I was searching on Drupal forums and I found this blog, but I have no idea how to apply it, or where to place that code, maybe the answer is there:

https://drupal.org/node/1329040

I would greatly appreciate if you could help me with this annoying issue.

Thanks

Be sure you are using the "Page redirect (modal forms aware)" action, rather than the "Page redirect" action.

Hi Arrow_1,

Could you please tell me how to set that up? I donĀ“t see modal forms aware on the action list. Do you have an screenshot where I can see it?

Thanks :)

It's included with the dev version of the module. It should be there if you updated. Be sure run update.php after updating. Also try clearing caches.
