Email Client for iPad/iPhone

Hello Experts,

Can someone please recommend an email client for iPhone/Ipad.

Basically, I'm looking for an email client for iphone/iPad that will allow me to filter out emails, like Junk, and alert me when certain emails arrive....

Cheers

Carlton

What sort of email account are you connecting to?  Exchange / POP3 / IMAP?

Most anti-spam should be done on the server and there isn't an email app on any iDevice that also does anti-spam filtering (that I am aware of).

Okay - is the account a single account for the domain name or a generic hosted freebie email account?

Hi Alan,

Thanks again for responding. The account is a single account.  Not a freebie

Okay - have you considered moving it to something like Office 365 for £2.60 / month ($4.00) so that you can have an Exchange account (way better than a POP3 account) and then you get pretty damn good Anti-Spam built-in and you can just use the iPhone / iPad built-in email App?

Hi Alan,

Office 365 sounds ideal. However, the website states £7.99 / month ??

Here is a link to all the Office 365 prices - the cheapest being £2.60 a month:

I think you found Office 365 (Word / Excel / Outlook etc) not a hosted Exchange email account which I am referring to - nice to have two products named exactly the same except vastly different!

Hi Alan,

I've signed up. Thanks

Is there anyway that I can keep my original email, i.e. carlton@keyloop.co.uk ?

At the moment, I have to use cpatte7372@K657.onmicrosoft.com

Hi Alan,

Is it possible to configure the settings / rule to get an alert when emails come through?

Cheers

Yes - add the domain to the account and once you have added the DNS record to verify ownership, you can then create the mailbox carlton and it will add it to your new domain.

Then when you are ready to switch over 100%, you add the remainder of the DNS records and your mailbox is live.

If you need help, click the following link and then I can assist you with the setup:

Once your phone is setup and is using Push Mail (you are used to pulling mail not pushing it), your phone will make a noise to tell you something new has arrived.

Glad you are happy and I'm sure you'll love being on an Exchange mailbox and having your mail, contacts, calendar and tasks sync with multiple devices.

500 points is plenty - but thanks for the thought.

Best wishes

Alan
