Copying files to Hyper-V VM disconnects every 10-20 minutes

I'm copying lots of small mp3 files (110GB, 0.5M number of files) from a locally attached to a Hyper-V host to a Hyper-V VM guest's shared folder on it. It seems as the connection to the VM from host is disconnected consistently between 10-20 minutes. It says;

There is a problem accessing \\xxxx\xxxx
Make sure you are connected to the network and try again.

If you have hyper-v, have you experienced this often when you copy many files?
