Hi. i just finished a website build and am trying to fix it so it works in IE8.

The bootstrap cols are all under each other.
is there a simple css rule I can add just for ie8.

i have modernizer classes that can be targeted:

<!--[if IE 8]>    <html class="no-js lt-ie9 ie8 oldie"> <![endif]-->

Hi Chris,
that particular version of Bootstrap wont work on IE8 without the help of respond.js. Essentially this is to do with IE8 not being able to read media queries.
Add the respond.js before the end of your head tag and after your style sheets.
It will look like this:
    <!--[if lt IE 9]>
        <script src="js/respond.min.js"></script>
    <![endif]-->
