WinSCP sftp client is not working on a standard Windows 2008 R2 server. The firewall is not blocking any outgoing ports to Internet. However, we get the error "Failed to connect to ***.***.***.***: Network error: Network is unreachable"... I'm trying to determine why this fails on one server, but works perfectly fine on another. Please assist. Thank you.

Are the 2 servers that you're connecting from within the same LAN or WAN?

Have you tried doing a tracert from each server to see routes they take and where the one fails?

I tried ping, tracert, nmap, dig and nslookup and all tests failed to reach or resolve that IP.

Thank u for your response. As it turns out, I had to reinstall and correct the local network LAN settings on the PC. It was using an alternate Gateway. The issue is resolved. Thank you.
