outlook 2011 mac updating inbox 25,000 items

When I start outlook it starts up
saying INBOX:Updating server.... and starts redownloading all my emails, in
middle of this I cannot recieve any emails only I can send emails, But if I
quit and restart the outlook its starts receiving and stops right after
while updating server


i have an IMAP account configured for my google email and have about 25,000 mail items under the inbox .

yep. Inbox syncing gets weird with over 10k emails. Make a folder (label, whatever) called 2013 or inboxold or something and shove emails over there. Syncing will NOT work well with that many emails in your inbox.

Hi ,

apparently the user never allowed completion of the email sync and therefore everytime he started using the client application and emails started to sync back again .

we allowed the syncing to complete which took over 3 hours but now the system remain stable and doesn't start the sync process each time the application starts .
