netvault backup

I changed many new tapes in my Netvault (Version 8.51 Build 16)+ Fujitsu ETERNUS LT S2 tape library.

but the new tapes which i changed UNKNOWN STATE.

What do i Need to do?

Inventory them and possibly format them.
You might also need to add them to one or more existing tape pools so that they can be used by a particular backup job.

This is much more likely to be a software issue than a hardware issue.  What's your backup application?
