shorten header bar

Hi,

In wordpress 2014  I have the horizontal bar called header-main and in css I cant reduce the height.

.header-main{ height:10px }

.header-main{ display:none; } //removes it so I know this is the correct bar

If you want to reduce it, you'll need to reduce/hide the "My blog" header (site-title) and the .search-toggle class.

Even then, you'll get a gap between the bar and the main content, so you'll need to adjust margin-top on site-main.

HTH,
Dan

You mean like this?

.search-toggle{display:none;}
.site-header { display: none; }

.site-main {margin-top:5px;  }

The area is unstable as you scroll and this former bar area appears again.

I don't see it.
.masthead-fixed .site-header {
height: 5px;
}
.masthead-fixed .site-main {
margin-top: 5px;
}
.header-main {
display:none;
}

It might be my local version looking unstable.
Anyway the below code doesnt have any effect if I take it out.
Where is masthead-fixed found on firebug?

.masthead-fixed .site-header {
height: 5px;
}
