Tried to install the Oracle software 11.2 on windows 2003 server (standard), and could not invoke the installer when double clicking setup.exe. It showed

main class could not be found, program will exit!

Can any gurus shed some light on it? Thanks in advance.

Could be that your installer is corrupt, try downloading the files again, unzip according the unzip instructions (both into same directory) and retry. Or could be that you don't have the required JRE installed, or that an older JRE is in your path before the JRE needed.
