Tree extend

Ive been working on extending a tutorial from:-
http://odyniec.net/articles/turning-lists-into-trees/

But want to extend it to give the ability to drop down, which works for the branch but not for any of the child branches:-

Im a bit stuck how to get my code working for the child branches
