In your html you have to put header before of site-header but I've not idea if this can break your lauout: just give it a try.

Hey there

Well you can mention the header div i.e div class="header-main " before the div site header  and add div clear class to make sure that they get aligned properly and donot restrict each other's alignment.

Feel free to revert back for further queries.

Thanks

You should move this code block in header.php in your theme:
	<?php if ( get_header_image() ) : ?>
	<div id="site-header">
		<a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>" rel="home">
			<img src="<?php header_image(); ?>" width="<?php echo get_custom_header()->width; ?>" height="<?php echo get_custom_header()->height; ?>" alt="">
		</a>
	</div>
	<?php endif; ?>

Open in new window

above the line:
<div id="main" class="site-main">

Open in new window

Make changes in child theme, so first copy header.php into your child theme's folder.
