Cannot install Remote Desktop Services on Windows Server 2012

RDS was originally installed on the Windows Server 2012 server using the Role-based or feature-based installation.  I have since resolved the issue of RDS expiring, but RDS is still not handing out the terminal server licenses.

I replicated this on my Windows Server 2012 test server and then ran the RDS install using the "Remote Desktop Services Installation" method.  However, when I try to install RDS using the "Remote Desktop Services Installation" method on the production server I get an error message that says:
"Could not create the Windows Management Instrumentation Windows Firewall exception"

Windows Firewall is enabled and the Remote Desktop Services allow statements are in Windows Firewall.  What can I do to resolve the issue that I am getting when installing RDS?

There was a bug where you could get that error you listed while trying to add RDS. It's possible that could be your issue too.  Microsoft did provide a fix. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2871777/EN-US

If that doesn't work, can you remove all RDS components & subcomponents, reboot, and try to re-add?
