A 530 if you don't mind the SandForce controller.
I bought one 6 months ago, as it was only 5% more expensive than the mainstream 300 series and it has an extra 2 years warranty.

Dan

I've installed 45 Crucial M4 SSD 256GB and Crucial M500 SSD 240GB as performance replacements in workstation upgrades. The most recent batch of M500's are $124 each. The M4's were awesome!

Here is a comparison showing the Intel SSDMCEAC240B3 with slightly better benchmarks.

But for pricing and value Crucial.

I agree with Lee's comment about the Crucial M4's, although updating the firmware was, shall we say, crucial:

I've never had an Intel SSD, but the 240GB 530 looks very good:

In any case, good luck with the new SSD! Regards, Joe

No problem, Joe. I like that you're one of the few here that really takes the time to research the topic before posting.

On the other hand, I'm faster :)

Thanks nobus.
I knew you were asking specifically about Intel SSD's but I didnt ahve very good results with their early models and and didnt like the price. I was very fond of the Crucial M4's but now that model has been discontinued I may evaluate a 530.

Regards, Lee
