I have PGP encryption on my laptop, i have encrypt my entire HD ( companys policies ) so everytime i log i have a user/pass for pgp.<br />
Now i have an extrernal HD and i need to encrypt it too. I will use the same application that is on my pc to encrypt it? When i will encrypt the external HD with PGP that means that external HD will ONLY work on my pc , right ?

Encryption is the process of encoding messages or information in such a way that only authorized parties can read it. In an encryption scheme, the intended communication information or message, referred to as plaintext, is encrypted using an encryption algorithm, generating ciphertext that can only be read if decrypted. For technical reasons, an encryption scheme usually uses a pseudo-random encryption key generated by an algorithm.
