no emails coming through my ISP?

I have a        DGND3700 Netgear router and no email are coming through all of a sudden.
The internet works fine. I can access the emails via my phone.

SMTP is ok, just the POP

The ISP said its got nothing to do with them and its the mail hosting companies fault.
Something about because I use a static IP

Nothing has changed my end

Any ideas?

Its all sorted, the mail host had blocked the IP to the office, as there was 5 attempts at mail with the wrong password. So with the IP unblocked its working fine.

is there any firewall enabled on the router check...

telnet your pop link from your pc and other internet pc

go to run - cmd - enter

on command prompt

telnet 110      ( is your mail server name and 110 = pop3 port no.)

if not telnetting from your network check from other internet connection

even from there no telnet .. .then check with your Email hosting..

if telnet is not working only from your network ... then disable firewall on your router ... or reset your router and check...

and check with your isp ... the telnet of your mail server is working from their side..?

all the best
