Outlook Cached mode shared calendar problems

Hi Guys,

When outlook cache mode is enabled, the shared calendars are updated every 24 hrs.
For example:
- User A shares calendar with User B
- User A adds a new entry on her calendar but user B cannot see new entry, until the next day.
As you can imagine this causes havoc among the users, especially when many entries are added or modified.

When cached mode is disabled it works like a charm but we don't want to disable it for the whole company because the exchange server might get overloaded.

Do you guys know if there something that can be done to get cached mode to update promptly?

Hi,

You need to uncheck "Download Shared Folder" in account setting.

1.On the menu select Tools > Account settings
2.Click on your account, then on Change More Settings then select the Advanced tab.
3.Clear the "Download shared folders (excludes mail folders)" check box.
4.Exit and restart Outlook.
