Exchange 2003 to Office 365 manual migration

Hi,

I'm having trouble with office 365 migration.  Our client has a pretty messed up exchange environment, no ssl, no RPC over HTTP.  There are only 12 mailboxes to migrate so I'd like to just move them over by exporting/importing PST files with exmerge.

I have the office 365 AD sync configured but when I activate a user it is aware of the other exchange environment and claims that it won't provision a mailbox in the cloud until exchange 2003 mailbox has been migrated.  Is there a way around this?

All I'm looking for is the AD sync for usernames and passwords but have office 365 provision empty mailboxes.

Thanks

BZ

You have to migrate the mail to Office 365.

You can configure RPC/HTTP and you can get a free 90 day Cert from Comodo. Please see the link below.
