Hi Getting the below event ID, Is this the Hard ware (disk) issue? How to troubleshoot?

In addition, 42 other I/O requests to this file have also taken an abnormally long time to be serviced since the last message regarding this problem was posted 28130 seconds ago. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

Is the EDB file located on a remote network share ? If not it could be either a transient network issue for a moment or a physical disk issue. I would check the EDB file as well as the STM to make sure they are fine.  Although a tad dated here is a great article that has helped me in the past. The Article is how to use the MS Exchange Tools to check file integrity. If all is well with them I would move the edb and stm to a different network share and start looking at replacing the failing drive(s).

Hope this helps

Try the tools first. Are you running the HDD in a RAID ?
