Getting Error using Crystal Reports Viewer 2008

We have started getting an error when we try to open a successfully ran Crystal report, with sub reports.  The Crystal Reports Viewer is running via a Citrix Server. If i am signed into the CMC, I can open the results with no issues.

The error we are getting;

Unable to Continue Viewing Report, more data is required to continue viewing this report. This report does contain saved data, but it is not complete. Unfortunately this version of the Crystal Reports Viewer does not support fetching further data and viewing cannot continue.

We are using;
Crystal Reports Viewer 2008

What report viewer are you using?

Is this the viewer that comes from Crystal?
If so it is for use with reports that have saved data.  It cannot refresh the data.

Have you tried opening the report in the Crystal designer and running it then saving it with the data?

Is your Crystal Viewer app published or via the Citrix desktop?

mlmcc, it looks like Crystal's Viewer

Crystal viewer cannot refresh reports.  It was built for displaying reports with saved data.   It is possible to save a report with data but not have allowed the query to run to completion.

Also if the subreports are ON DEMAND subreports, then they haven't been run at all.

The report is actually being opened via Epic Hyperspace (our electronic medical record system).  Hyperspace is also a citrix launched app, so is the Crystal Report Viewer.

The .rpt does have subreports, that are on demand, for drill down purposes.  We have other reports that are simular but are working ok. The only difference with this .rpt is that it was written via a Crystal Command.
Is the viewer part of the Epic application or is it the Crystal provider saved data viewer?

I doubt the Crystal viewer can handle on demand subreports since the data isn't saved with the report.

mlmcc - it launches the Crystal Report Viewer that is provided by Crystal.  I'll go back to the report writer who created this .rpt and ask about the on demand subreport.
For the sake of clarification, it's probably not the free, downloadable Crystal Reports Viewer from SAP.  Support for Crystal Reports is built directly into Epic (one of a couple of tools, the other being the Reporting  Workbench).  It's a custom viewer and the version of Crystal Reports used to write the report should match what's compatible with the version of Epic being used.  As an example, I had to upgrade a client to XI 3.1/Crystal Reports 2008 a couple of years ago because those were the versions recommended by Epic.

The viewer itself, however, may have issues with reports that use SQL Commands as data sources.  Even though Enterprise comes bundled with Epic and there's built in support for Crystal Reports, there may be limitations because it's a custom tool. I'm sure there are, in fact.  There are similar concerns with LBI with Lawson.

That being said, the report should be easily accessible through the BI Launchpad/Infoview, however.
