Problem with external access to IIS7 web site

We are trying to serve up a web site using IIS7.

However, when we try to connect from outside our network, we get the following error in the web browser:

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL-ERROR

We have confirmed the SSL certificate is installed properly and it works on our internal network.

In the W3SVC1 log, it indicates the internal traffic but no external traffic seems to be reaching the IIS server, however, it appears as though traffic is getting to the web server in the DMZ, according to the firewall log.

We have ensured the IIS  bindings are setup and disabled local Windows firewall.

Thanks

It was the firewall, and a missing static route.

For some reason the syslog was showing that traffic was reaching the server, however.
