lync 2013 mobile client (wp8) ABS address book lookup

Hi
i run lync 2013 for my telephony and have configured access to mobile devices.

i cannot work out how to search for a number using the lync directory i.e. Active Directory. Lync 2013 mobile client will search phone contacts and the says it is searching to company directory - but it does not bring up all the contacts i have saved to Active Directory.

can anyone help?

thanks

jack

Maybe you will need to force the updates from Active directory to Lync. have you run the cmdlet update-csadressbook on Lync servers powershell?

Once you run this cmdlet, if you open event viewer "eventvwr" you will be able to see the updates have been published under Lync on left pane.

I have already done this.

I have created an Folder in AD called Customers that stores all my must contact details. - I think this would be defined as "OU=Customers,DC=DomainName,DC=local"

from the desktop Lync Client, and the Lync client that is in my PolyCom vvx 600 it will search these contacts.

but from Lync Mobile 2013 it won't

this is my problem

thanks

Do you have any iphone or andriod phone to try lync on it? This might be a windows phone issue! I know it's a buggy phone and has some limitation.

Can you also open Lync client and press ctrl + right click on lync icon on tray bar and click on configuration. and check what's the ABS Internal and External URL ? post a snapshot would be better.

How are you publishing your Lync frontend web services? Are you using TMG or ARR reverse proxy?

Go to the below website and enter your credentials after you choose the "Lync Autodiscover Web Service Remote Connectivity Test" and see if you get success ?

https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/

Can you also please also take a snapshot of your internal dns settings for lync ? do you have a forward zone for your public domain in your internal dns server ?
