configure outlook 2010 and 2013 manually to work with exchange 2013

Dear All,

what's the way to configure outlook 2010 or 203 manually with exchange 2013? i try to put the server name and then the mailbox, but it's not working.

please help.

You need to use Autodiscover. Not enter a server name, but allow Autodiscover to do its job. That is because every user has a unique end point, which is found with Autodiscover.

Autodiscover is NOT an optional feature any longer.

If Autodiscover isn't working, then you need to look at why. The usual reasons are incorrect DNS configuration, SSL certificate problem or something blocking the traffic.

autodiscover working fine for computers joined to domain,

i need the manual settings for the computers which are not join to domain.

In my environment, using the FQDN of the 2013 CAS resolves the GUID of the mailbox automatically, making the manual setup process identical to that of earlier versions.  I do have a functional internal and external autodiscover host record.  I would be curious to know if Outlook knows to pull manual settings such as the GUID from autodiscover.
