HP UPS r5500 xr not responding
Hi
One of our HP UPS R5500 XR management stopped responding.
SNMP also stopped responding.
Is there any way of restarting the management interface, without restarting the UPS ?

Are you sure it isn't a connectivity issue (LAN cable detached)? If it is, even restarting the management won't help.
It sounds like the UPS's interface has gone bad. I'd get a replacement and move the attached equipment to a new one. Unfortunately you can't do that right away unless the servers and equipment can be powered down.

Checked the LAN cable, it's all green.
Is there no way of just restarting the Mangement interface/module without restarting the entire UPS ?

UPS's don't have that level of management like a server or PC.
You can try upgrading it's firmware. That may help.

The interface was most likely hung up on something, and needed a complete powercycle to come back.
Unplugged the UPS power source, forced a shutdown after a few minutes. Plugged the powersource back and powered it up. The management was response again after a short time.
