The issue there are quite a few Qr servers, which are all vmware VM's and there are approximately 13, and there has been outages in past few weeks which seems inexplicable,

The outages have occurred at the following times: (All are BST)
1.      Friday 11th April 06:44 until 07:35. All Qr appliances across all sites were affected.

2.      Sunday 13th April 00:19 until 01:41 All Qr appliances across all sites were affected.

3.      Thursday 24th April 01:43 until 03:04 All Qr appliances across all sites were affected.

Basically during this period the QR servers are unable to communicate with the client software's.

We have checked the network but these does not seem to be any evidence of a network problem during these times.

Also I have checked the permance graphs under performace tab > then overview and I can't see anything peculiar in the graphs in accordance to the date/times provided.

Any idea what could have caused it and how I can investigate further?

I think you need to do a few things, start collecting logs of

1. VMs - these can be found in the VM folder called vmware.log

2. Check vmkernel.log /var/log

3. also check using ping plotter, if the VMs can be pinged, also check the host can be pinged.

4. is it a single VM or many?

5. single host or many?
