Network problem

I am trying to network 2 Windows 7 professional computers. I can see the computers on the network and I can ping the IP addresses on both computers. However when I try to access the computers in question I get the error message saying that I do not have permission to access that particular computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The Windows Firewall or your Antivirus Firewall might be blocking the comunication, try disabling it.

While accessing the other computer, Is it asking for username and password ?

If not disable the UAC (User Access Control) and check,

Create a administrator account on both computers with same username and password and test.
