Hi,

According to this article:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj884270%28v=wps.620%29.aspx the dfsn cmdlets should be available on server 2012. I did update powershell is to version 4.0, rebooted the server, but still the dfsn commandlets are unavailable.  Did quite a lot of searching on big, bad internet, but was not able to find an adequate answer.
Does anybody know why I am not able to use these cmdlets on server 2012, with powershell 4.0 installed ?

You installed the server role DFS Namespaces? That should be the only requirement (besides W2012). PS4 isn't required, PS3 should do - but no harm done in installing PS4.

How silly of me. Installed dfs management tools on the server and now:  Voila: dfs cmdlets..
