This is using Symantec Backup Exec 2012 (w/SP4) on MS Windows 2008 R2 server. However, found that the backup speed seems slow - about 550 Mb/min. This is backing up the VMs (via VMware vSphere 5.5 ESXi host), into an external LTO 6 tape drive. Please see the drivers and hardware used:<br />

What I ever experienced was the backup speed can hit 1,600 Mb/min by using SBE 2010 SP3. Does the above speed too slow? The network shouldn't has much different.<br />

Why the backup speed so slow with SBE 2012?
