Hi experts,

For those of you who use AWS VPCs (Virtual Private Cloud), do you have separate VPCs set up for dev, test, and live?  Or do you use separate subnets with network ACLs/security groups to restrict access between environments?

Just in case anyone stumbles upon this, I went with separate VPCs for each environment.  This gives really good isolation, especially if you don't ever want dev/test/live to be able to communicate.  This also makes administration easier since you won't need separate rules just to restrict access between environments.  If really needed, a VPN can still be setup between the VPCs to allow communication.
