Side by Side error - Event 33
I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with an application (it's an .exe file). When I run the .exe, I get an error that says "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. The event log has an Event 33, SideBySide error that says:
Activation context generation failed for "C:\Inspire3x\PatConvert.e xe". Dependant Assembly Microsoft.VC80.CRT.process orArchitec ture="x86" ,publicKey Token=Ifc8 b3b9a1e18e 3b". type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.
I don't know what this PatConvert.exe file is, but it has to do with a manufacturing process one of our engineers is trying to run on his Windows 7 64bit machine.
I don't even know what a sidebyside error is or what it means. Any ideas?
