HDX client redirection vs Server side content fetching in Xenapp 6.5 - Please explain

There is the requirement to use HDX Flash client redirection in our environment. This is currently setup and is working perfectly. Users launch a published desktop and use the local browser on the server. HDX redirection renders flash content on the client device as it should.

However, this only applies to clients that can authenticate through our proxy server. About 90% of the client devices are thin clients, they are not joined to the domain and do not have any LAN settings configured in their browsers. So basically no internet access. They are just terminals to launch published desktops.

However as HDX client redirection renders flash content on the client device, the client requires External internet access. As they don't have it, the flash content obviously cant process the content.

My understanding is that I need to use Server Side Content fetching to allow the clients with no internet access to take advantage of the HDX client redirection.

Is this the case? or is SSCF just the same thing as server side rendering?

If what I stated is correct, then how do you get it to work?
This is my current setup:

Server Side:
Xenapp 6.5
Rollup Pack 3
HDX hotfix 6
Flash 12.0.0.44 (for IE & other browsers)
SSCF & HDX redirection policies enabled (www.youtube.com/* added to the SSCF whitelist for testing).

Client side
Win 7
Receiver 4.1
ADM template added (HDX Client redirection & SSCF policies both enabled)
Flash 12.0.0.44 (for IE & other browsers)

The client just seems to treat the content the same as it would without the SSCF settings enabled. Only works if I add the proxy address in the client devices browser.

Is there a HDXflash-Server.adm? There is one for the client, but there doesn't seem to be one for the server. The only place to enable is in the Citrix policies.

Thanks for clarifying. So I am on the right track.
I am missing something though as it doesn't work. The flash session is treated as if it wasn't active (even though the HDX monitor confirms SSCF is on).

On the Server side, I am confused about the policies. There is a Citrix Policy where I need to add the sites I want to use SSCF, but is there a Windows ADM template I need to add also? I keep seeing references online to HDXFlash-Server.adm (not to be confused with HDXFlash-Client.adm which is added to the client), however I can not find this file anywhere either online or on the install media. Is this what is needed in XA65?

I seem to have it working now. The issue must have been how I entered the URL in the SSCF Whitelist policy.

Youtube for example was entered as http://www.youtube.com/* as the Citrix guide suggests, but it wasn't working. I changed the URL to just * and SSCF started working.

How should I have entered the URL for Youtube? And would it cause me issues if I just left the URL as * so all flash videos are rendered on the client, but fetched from the server?

Thanks again, as mentioned It seems to be working now. Only problem is that it's pretty Sh!t in our WAN offices. The images are clear, but more clunky that when rendering on the server. Works perfectly on the LAN though.

I think my only solution with my WAN devices is to add them to the domain, configure proxy settings and utilise both HDX rendering & fetching on the client devices. That's seems to work best out of all the options (however as mentioned was hoping to achieve it with SSCF).

Thank you again for all of your input.
