Windows 8 tiles: don t get the concept

Hi,

I m about to buy a tablet windows 8 but I m missing the concept here. An Iphone/Ipad has apps, when you use them the menu is big so you can easily navigate.
When I use f.e. Internet Explorer on a Windows 8 tablet, I get a browser in mini version, can t almost even read the text, it s hard to press any key. Same for Windows Explorer.

Please advise.

The Windows DESKTOP apps can be hard to manage - you can make certain adjustments to make them easier, but the idea is to use the MODERN (formerly known as Metro) versions of Apps - they are designed to work with touch with larger controls.

Thanks, but typing on a tablet is something you just do not want to do. I m looking for a Ios or Android tablet experience on a Windows tablet, not a "mini Windows experience" on a tablet. If that s not possible, no Windows tablet for me.
Then you're using it wrong.  Stop going into the desktop.  Stick to the Modern apps.

(Also, are you looking at a LIMITED windows tablet running Windows RT - that would be more akin to running iOS or Android) or are you looking for a tablet that can run EVERYTHING because it's not just a tablet, it's a real PC?
Ok, how does that work? How do I stick to modern apps? How do I get the Windows phone experience on a Windows tablet?
Use the tiles to start programs. Use the mail app for email. The explorer app.
When on the start screen, Microsoft apps are active and update. Tap one of the appsto start it. Just like on a windows phone, iPhone out Android.
