Riverbed Steelhead Quesion

Hello Experts,

Can someone please tell me what are the fundamental differences between an In-Path, Load-Balanced, Layer-4 Switch Deployment and WCCP Virtual In-Path Deployments. I'm a little confused because although the the first mentions In-Path, it actually is virtual In-Path. Can't everything be achieved with In-Path, Load-Balanced, Layer-4 Switch Deployment as with WCCP Virtual In-Path Deployments.? Cheers Carlton

A Riverbed presales rep. be be the best person to answer this, but I believe "In-path" can be either physically in path (hence the name) or have traffic directed to it via WCCP, so that it appears to be inline because traffic is flowing through it.
