I'm on VM4.1 and I've gone into the datastore and copied all the files from a vm into another folder. I just can't seem to find how to create templates or use a snapshot to create another vm quickly. Now that I have this folder with all the files from a vm that works how do I use it? I can't seem to get it to show up in vCenter.
Standard license.
This is the only software I have to work with so upgrading is not possible.
Alternatively how do I create templates for provisioning? I just can't seem to find it on this version.

Do you see your VM in vCenter?
You do not need to manually copy the VM if you have vCenter, you can right-click your VM --> Template --> Clone to Template
This will give you a wizard you need to go through that will ask you some questions, after which, if all goes well, your template will be ready in Inventory --> VM's and Templates ...
After which you can right-click this template and choose to deploy a new VM using this template...
