reset and reconfigure vMotion switch on live hosts

greetings,

at datacenter and I need to reconfigure a physical switch used for vMotion. 3 live hosts are connected to it for vMotion / HA only. what if anything will happen to HA after I reset the switch then reconfigure to the same subnet already configured? I don't want to trigger some failed attempt at HA and have the hosts go down or VMs become unavailable. My plan is to reset the switch and then reconfigure the ports with the same subnet already configured on the hosts. I am hoping this will allow the hosts to simply reconnect once the subnet is correct.

thx a lot

No problems, vMotion network should be no issues, we had a major IP Class against all our vMotion interfaces when a VLAN got joined between client networks at our Datacentre, and vMotions just stopped and errors occured!

No big deal other than DRS just stopped moving  machines between hosts!

Took several hours to track down though.

Have a good quiet weekend!

Andrew's post was correct. I chose my answer since it showed what I did, which worked.
