Covering all bases with Responsive Functionality testing.
Hello,
I was looking for some insight as to what variables should be considered when testing a site for device responsive functionality. I'm aware of tools such as Screenfly that will display a given site in various common resolutions, but in terms of functionality across different mobile platforms and browsers, how wide should the testing tendrils reach in order to assure sufficient coverage? Naturally hands-on testing can't be performed with every phone and tablet on the market - but perhaps there is some reliable emulation software that could be used in lieu of some devices?
Any advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
