I'm trying to deploy printers using a GPO and have a question. I have created an OU by the name of "Pod Computers", I've then created a GPO by the name of "Pod Printers". I then link the Pod Printers GPO to the Pod Computers OU. I've found that even though the Pod Computers OU contains the computer objects it want the GPO to apply to, the GPO won't work unless I also add the computer objects to the Security Filtering secont on the Scope tab of the GPO. When I do this it works.
What am I missing ? Should I only need to link the OU and GPO and it should work ?
Thanks ...

So you are adding each computer individually? Check the Security Filtering box, normally this has Authenticated Users group be default. This contains any user or computer account.

By default after I link the GPO to the OU it shows linked at the top of the Scope tab but nothing is in the Security Filtering section of the Scope tab.
If I place Authenticated Users in the Security Filtering section does it mean the GPO will apply to only the Authenticated Users/Computers that are in the linked OU ?
