Would like an "industrial strength" virus cleaner

Lenovo T410
Win 7

I've been collaborating with dozens of people nationwide.  Hundreds of files and close to a thousand url links over the past year.  Obviously, I'm wondering if there's malware that's made it on to my computer that is invisible to Malwarebytes, etc.

Currently, I run Rogue Killer every 10 days or so.  I follow this up w/ MB and MS Security Essentials.

But, as you know, there are limits to these.  What I'm wondering is if there's a thorough cleaner/scanner out there that approaches a HD reformat.

I've heard about Linux-based programs that can boot from a CD.  Unfortunately, my cd drive is broken, so I was hoping there was something that could boot from a thumb drive.  Something related to MBAM, or whatever - a program that bypasses windows and all that stuff.

I think I tried BitDefender a while ago.  But I couldn't seem to get it to work... obscure syntax errors, etc.

My question is whether someone can make it really easy to load a program like this onto my USB drive.

You could use Comodo Rescue Disk from a USB stick,

It's done a great job for me and my clients.   It runs outside of Windows.

I just read about Comodo yesterday.

I guess my main question is whether it's safe.  I've heard, for example, that ComboFix, while effective, can cause damage if you're not really careful.

If you have a nice sized USB drive (about 32gb) you can put everything on there and make it bootable by using SARDU.  See my article on the previous version of SARDU

https://www.experts-exchange.com/Hardware/Storage/A_3038-Boot-Disks-UBCD-UBCD4Win-and-SARDU.html

I have a 256gb passport drive I keep as a SARDU created boot device.  That way I have plenty of extra room for recovered files.  I also have a SARDU created boot device that is a 32gb thumbdrive.
