the win7 machine does not have a password to the user name
Robert Retzer
well you need to have a password on the windows 7 machine, otherwise it will not work. Like I said you cant use a blank password when share devices over a network. You also need to make sure both devices are on the same workgroup.

on the "tablet" machine,
i have these settings for the drive:
*"Everyone" have FULL Control
Turn on Network Discovery
*Turn on File and Printer Sharing
*Turn on Sharing so anyone with network access can RW files.
*Enable file sharing for devices that use 40- or 56- bit encryption (just try to accomodate and be safe on all front for this connection to work)
*Turn off password protected sharing
do these sound right?
