can i mix win 2008 enterprise & win 2008 standard
hi I have 5 physical machines and I wish to move from win 2003 to win 2008: and wanted to know if this was ok.
currently I am running the following win 2003 domain (standard edn):
master dc ad/dns/dhcp
member server
- file print
- wsus
- exchange 2003
- isa 2006 firewall
task to do as below:
dell poweredge 1950 - win 2008 enterprise full gui - recently migrated into same domain as replacing win 2003 standard
considering installing win 2008 standard core server for all member servers as above and accessing server manager via win 2008 enterprise full gui to further configure member servers if required as I have never done this before ?

oh ok that is good to know. I think for the time being I will setup my file server as a full gui and once I know how to do that, I may re-install to server core later.
I assume after some reading that when I setup my wds/mdt that requires some .net framework software, I may have to use enterprise or windows 2008 r2 instead of win 2008 standard, would this be true ?

I was also thinking of installing win 2008 32bit to run exchange 2007 as I think that only runs on 32bit, would this be correct ?
